R Electrical Solutions Ltd is an electrical contractor and smart home installer based in Derby, DE22 1EJ. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. When you complete the enquiry form or contact us by phone or email, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, email address, telephone number, the postcode of the property, the service you are interested in and any details you include about the project.

If you become a customer we will also hold information necessary to carry out and certify the work — for example the property address, installation details, test results, certificates and invoicing records.

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a consultation, prepare a quotation, deliver and certify the work, and handle aftercare, warranty and guarantee matters.

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

We process enquiry information on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and customer information on the basis of performing our contract with you. Some records — notably electrical certification and accounting records — are kept because we have a legal obligation to keep them.

We share information only where it is needed to deliver the work or meet an obligation: our certification body for notifying installations, our accountant for invoicing records, and suppliers or manufacturers where equipment registration or warranty requires it. Anyone we share information with is required to keep it secure.

Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept only as long as they are useful, and are then deleted. Customer, certification and accounting records are kept for the periods required by law and by our guarantee obligations, after which they are securely destroyed.

The enquiry form on this site opens a message in your own email application; your details are sent to us directly by email rather than stored in a database on this website. The site embeds a Google Map on the contact page, which is served by Google and subject to Google's own privacy terms.

You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@relectricalsolutions.com.
